Inspiration

Before my mom went to heaven, she said, "Loving is heaven." Since then, walking in kindness, helping people in need, and helping people stay out of the doldrums- including myself- has been and is on my heart. I hope you see and use resources that help this happen.
Also, in the spring break of 2001, I went on a mission trip to a place called Ecumenical Social Ministries in Colorado Springs, www.ecusocmin.org . This place is a non-profit formed by eight churches that assists people in need by giving food, clothes, bus tokens, vouchers for places to stay, help finding jobs, and more. Homeless people were allowed to use a shower and receive new clothes and this place was open every weekday. The people who came and received help were noted in a database and had to answer questions to determine eligibility so it was hard to take advantage of the help. Also, families who needed a bill paid or medicine for their child could have these items paid directly if it was determined they were truly in need.
After witnessing this love in action, it was in my heart to help more churches and ministries come together and serve people in need. This website is the beginning of that venture. This is also based on Proverbs 31:9, " Open they mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."
